About the Role
Client is seeking a Tivoli-Control M Specialist with extensive experience in workload automation tools such as Tivoli or Control-M. The role requires analyzing existing job schedules, ensuring seamless operations, and collaborating with IT teams to implement optimized solutions. The candidate will also support modernization efforts by assisting with the migration of eForms and WebUpload applications to Angular and Spring Boot technologies. This position blends operational expertise with development skills and requires prior experience in tax-related systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing job schedules (Tivoli/Control-M), dependencies, and configurations.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting support for job failures, delays, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement changes and enhancements to job schedules and automation processes.
- Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for job scheduling, monitoring, and incident handling.
- Perform periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with established best practices.
- Leverage DevOps experience (CI/CD pipelines, automated monitoring, infrastructure automation) to improve efficiency.
- Provide on-call support for critical production incidents and job-related issues.
- Assist the Online Tax Team in migrating legacy eForms and WebUpload applications to Angular and Spring Boot.
- Create training materials and knowledge transfer documentation for IT staff.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent experience with Tivoli, Control-M, or similar workload automation solutions.
- Strong expertise in scheduling and automating business workflows across multiple platforms.
- Solid experience in job monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle critical production issues under pressure.
- Prior experience working on Tax-related systems and applications.
- Familiarity with Angular and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce SOPs, incident reports, and training guides.
