Job Title: Technical Specialist- Expert Job ID: 25-09647 Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid) Duration: 12 Months Contract
Description:
Seeking an experienced Technology Specialist (84+ months) to lead IT infrastructure design and implementation for a new campus project replacing Dorothea Dix campus networks. Role involves analyzing current infrastructure, gathering requirements, designing secure networks, installing/configuring systems, and ensuring smooth transition to operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design & implement secure IT networks/infrastructure.
- Install, configure, integrate, and test IT components (COTS/custom).
- Create technical documentation & training materials.
- Lead IT planning, migration, and disaster recovery efforts.
- Review technical deliverables & proposals.
- Support project management, cost estimation, and risk management.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years in IT infrastructure design/implementation.
- Expertise in LAN, VLAN, WAN, WLAN, SAN, VPN, TCP/IP, SIP, WPA2, UCS, firewalls, and virtualization.
- Experience with COTS/customized enterprise networks.
- Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
- CCNP, CCIE, Cisco Specialist or equivalent.
- Technical Lead experience in large-scale IT projects.
