Job Details
- Hybrid - Baltimore, MD (2x/week onsite at Harbor Point)
- 6-month contract with strong potential for extension
- W2 only - must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Analytics Data Platform (ADP) team. This team plays a vital role in connecting internal users with enterprise data, and is now kicking off a major integration with Snowflake. You'll be working alongside a small but high-impact team to support core platform services, drive observability improvements, and guide engineering teams toward stable, scalable solutions.
This is not a traditional infrastructure-heavy SRE role-instead, we're looking for someone with a strong systems mindset, observability experience, and the confidence to take ownership, identify gaps, and improve operations across cloud-native services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support systems reliability during Snowflake integration and modernization efforts
- Lead gap analysis and enhancements to monitoring and alerting (Prometheus and beyond)
- Advise internal engineering teams on AWS design patterns (EC2, S3, EKS)
- Identify weak points in system workflows and propose automation or tooling improvements
- Write lightweight internal tools/scripts to support operations
- Contribute to cloud and DevOps best practices across the team
- 5+ years of hands-on SRE or DevOps experience (multiple companies preferred)
- Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, EKS; Terraform familiarity is a plus)
- Skilled in Python or Go (other languages welcome)
- Experience with Prometheus or other observability stacks
- Knowledge of Git, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD
- Collaborative communicator who can work independently and advocate change
- Must reside in the continental U.S. and be authorized to work without sponsorship
- Experience working in analytics, data platform, or enterprise-scale environments
- Familiarity with Snowflake integrations
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities
- Comfort with agile teams and fast-paced iterations
