IT Support Technician needed ASAP for a 1+ month contract position in Wilmington, MA!

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Level 1 IT Support Technician to provide first-line support across our IT infrastructure. This role requires basic to intermediate knowledge in networking, Microsoft 365, Windows server environments, data backup solutions, and multifactor authentication with Duo. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, proactive, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 support for end users including issue triage, resolution, and escalation as needed.
- Assist with the configuration, deployment, and basic troubleshooting of Meraki switches and network connectivity.
- Support day-to-day operations of Windows file servers, including user access permissions and shared folder management.
- Perform basic administration and support of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Monitor and perform routine tasks related to data backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and recoverability.
- Support the configuration and end-user setup of Duo two-factor authentication.
- Document issues and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with higher-level engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements:
- 1 2 years of IT support or help desk experience.
- Working knowledge of:
- Meraki switches (basic configuration and troubleshooting)
- Windows Server (file sharing and access control)
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Data backup tools and basic recovery processes
- Duo MFA platform
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certification(s).
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Work Environment:
- May require occasional after-hours support or on-call availability.
