Job Title: Network Consulting Engineer
Job Duration: 6 months but ongoing and potential to convert down the road
Location: Remote but in the US. Must be able to work CST/EST hours.
Overview: Our client is looking for a Network Consulting Engineer to support their end customers across North America, with a primary focus on large service provider networks, including AT&T. This is a customer-facing, highly technical role requiring deep expertise in SIP and Oracle Session Border Controllers (SBCs), with a strong emphasis on communication, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving.
Schedule: 4 hours/day, most likely late mornings 10-2pm. On-call every evening 9pm-6am and weekends 24 hours/day.

Top Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience with troubleshooting SIP protocols
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Session Border Controllers (SBC)
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities in technical environments
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Professional, driven, and eager to learn
- Experience with VoIP technologies
- Exposure to cloud platforms (especially Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals across enterprise or service provider environments
- Oracle SBC Certification
- Engage with customers daily to provide expert-level support and troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot issues within Oracle SBCs and SIP environments, including capturing and analyzing logs
- Work autonomously to meet customer expectations for issue resolution and technical support
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ideal candidates come from a telecom, service provider, resident engineer, or enterprise-level environment
