Position Overview
Analog Devices' Advanced Physical Technology (APT) group is seeking a System Integration Design Engineer to lead the development of next-generation systems for strategic, high-impact applications. This role focuses on the design, verification, and productization of power, motor control, and sensor systems. The ideal candidate will have strong system-level design and integration expertise, along with the drive to accelerate prototyping and product development in collaboration with APT and Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
- Define system architecture and technical specifications, including communication interfaces and supporting documentation.
- Lead hardware design efforts, including schematic design, component selection, PCB layout, fabrication, and simulation.
- Integrate hardware and firmware to meet performance, reliability, and SWaP-C optimization targets.
- Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to validate system performance and reliability.
- Explore and apply advanced algorithms to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, supporting system integration and embedded development across multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in power systems, motor control, or sensor system development, prototype and product design.
- Proven expertise in motor control or sensor fusion algorithms.
- Proficiency with embedded debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, GDB).
- Experience with automated testing and validation frameworks for embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Strong analytical and simulation skills for system-level performance evaluation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in hardware design tools (Allegro, Altium Designer, OrCAD) and simulation platforms (MATLAB/Simulink).
