Position Description:
The Records Management/Help Desk Specialist provides user support, records management, and operational assistance for a Documentum-based content management system. This role ensures accurate handling of sensitive information, assists users in system operations, and maintains proper security and compliance of records.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 help desk support for system users, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Administer user accounts, including registration, removal, and monitoring of activity to ensure compliance with access policies.
- Manage document and records processing, including scanning, metadata entry, encryption, and workflow support.
- Create and modify Documentum ACLs to control document access and maintain security standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable records retention schedules and federal or organizational records management policies.
- Prepare weekly and quarterly reports on help desk activity, user access, and records management metrics.
- Train and assist users on system functionality, document handling, and security protocols.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Documentum or similar enterprise content management systems.
- Knowledge of federal or organizational records management policies, procedures, and standards.
- Proficiency in user support, help desk operations, and document access management.
- Experience managing sensitive or classified information in a secure environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Documentum, Records Management, and IT Support are preferred.
- Prior experience of working with the Federal Government is strongly encouraged
