Job Description

ECS is seeking a DevSecOps Application Tools Developer to work in our Pocatello, ID office.

As a DevSecOps Application Tools Developer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DEVSECOPS infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. The DevSecOps Application Tools Developer will be primary Operations and Maintenance workforce for tools such as Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo, Gitlab, Morpheus Cloud Management Platform, Sonatype Nexus, Kibana, Logstash, Docker, Jenkins, Fortify, Selenium, (Open Web application Security Project Zed Attack Proxy) OWASP ZAP, Kubernetes, Carvel, Twistlock, Tanzu Application Catalog, Ansible, Teraform, Maven, etc.

Position requirements and duties of the DevSecOps Application Tools Developer:
  • Serve as the advanced knowledge expert for DevSecOps Infrastructure environments.
  • Be familiar with and maintain bare-metal and virtual machines with the appropriate distribution of primarily Linux or Windows and network configuration, using tools that include VMWare, Satellite Server, Ansible, BigFix, and MECM.
  • Provision/configure the required DevSecOps software onto servers.
  • Provide daily operations and maintenance of above supported applications, including processing customer incidents and requests for changes.
  • Evaluate, improve, and maintain the information security throughout the DevSecOps infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, test, monitor and resolve server systems and application issues as well as process failures and performance bottlenecks.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Possess knowledge in DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, PKI and integration with other enterprise infrastructure to solve technical and functional issues.
  • Install, integrate, configure, test, deploy, and maintain application software, system management tools, and DevSecOps tools.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  • Provide customer (3rd) and engineering (3rd) level support.
  • Work with the customers to onboard projects and applications to the DevSecOps infrastructure components.
  • Advise customers on common practices and how to use DevSecOps to gain development efficiencies.
  • Work with in-house Software Developers and system engineers to extend supported tools and integrate with custom and semi-custom infrastructure services.
  • Work with security components to resolve any security findings or vulnerabilities and apply fixes or updates as well as solutions to achieve closure.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date to include inventory and patch levels of all systems to include hostnames, property numbers, IP addresses, enclave, hardware specifications, application configurations, admin passwords, certificates, and service accounts on a monthly interval.
  • Integrate responsible systems into FBI infrastructure as it applies to authentication, networking, and other components required by policy, security, networking, performance, and identity management. Engineer and implement solutions that meet FBI standards using approved software and hardware configurations.
  • Document system configurations to include passwords, access controls, version number, and revision numbers, patch levels, and inventory to include hostnames, TCP/IP addresses, number of processors, and number of cores, memory, and license keys.
  • Continually transition knowledge to the Government staff through training and assistance on how to use the technology using industry best practices.


Required Skills

  • Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI / CI-Poly to meet contract requirement.
  • Minimum of six years of tool administration experience with one plus years' experience in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Certified DevSecOps professional (CDP), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent certification required.
  • Systems Engineer skill set with focus on supporting COTS and FOSS applications on Linux based systems such as Red Hat and Oracle Linux.
