Key Responsibilities (define scope of responsibility): - Review and take ownership of customer technical requirements.
- Develop an electrical architecture to satisfy the technical requirements within the constraints of budget, recurring cost, and schedule.
- Detailed design and analysis for new circuit or circuit variants including schematic design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Power Supplies, Battery Chargers and Battery Management Circuits.
- Actively participate in product qualification of new products per customer requirements and industry standards such as DO-160, MIL_STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
- Generate sub-assembly and top-assembly acceptance test procedures (ATP).
- Resolve technical problems with existing products and new designs.
- Perform prototype and qualification unit testing activities.
- Participation in software development, verification, testing and documentation per DO-178 is a plus.
- Use of simulation software such as Matlab or PSPICE to simulate design concepts.
- Generation of engineering documents such as Test Plans and Test Reports.
- Supports integration and system testing of hardware and software.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Capabilities (describe scope of knowledge and ability of the position): - Expert knowledge of Analog and Digital Circuits
- Familiar with PWM control for AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion.
- Strong ability in use lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, DAQ, etc.) for troubleshooting or testing.
- Able to read and interpret schematics.
- Understanding of C/C++ and assembly code for embedded systems is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Skilled with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Follows Company Policies and Guidelines for engineering design and can recommend/drive process improvements.
- Exhibits a High Level of Integrity.
