Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
Length: 12+ Months
Job Description:
As a Software Engineering Consultant, you will:
- Participate in and consult on moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Resolve moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
- Leverage a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 4+ years of experience developing scalable Java-based applications.
- 4+ years of experience developing or consuming REST-based web services.
- 2+ years of experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
- Experience working on Scrum teams and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, MongoDB, Apigee Gateway, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architectures.
- An industry-standard technology certification.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture, including distributed and client-server technologies.
- Experience with cloud-based computing.
- Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience.
- Experience with major database engines, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.
- Knowledge and understanding of the design and development of modern web applications and mobile technologies.
- Experience building microservices based on event-driven architecture and domain-driven design.
