Job Details
We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust database systems that support our organization s data-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL programming, database optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning, ensuring efficient data flow and accuracy across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Write complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with application developers and analysts to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and security strategies.
Troubleshoot database issues, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure high availability.
Assist in data migration, integration, and ETL processes between systems.
Develop reports and dashboards using SQL-based reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI).
Document database structures, data flows, and system configurations.
Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 6 years of experience as an SQL Developer or Database Engineer.
Proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, or other SQL dialects.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and ETL concepts.
Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
Experience with stored procedures, views, and triggers.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) is a plus.
Certification in SQL or database technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SQL Database Developer).
