Job Title: Product Owner Banking Domain
Locations: Columbia, SC Hybrid Must (Only Local Candidates near to Columbia)
Job Description:
We are looking for a Product Owner with strong experience in the banking and financial services domain to drive product development and delivery for high-impact digital and data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and banking stakeholders to deliver valuable solutions aligned with business goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with development teams to deliver features on time and within scope.
- Lead sprint planning, reviews, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal audit standards.
- Track product performance and make data-driven decisions to refine strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert in banking processes and digital transformation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in the banking/financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, digital banking, or core banking platforms.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent skills in gathering requirements, writing user stories, and managing backlogs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in regulatory/compliance projects, digital product modernization, or banking APIs.
