Appian Developer
Duration: 6 months. CTH (conversion can happen as early as 3 months).
Location: Onsite (5 days) in McLean, VA
Schedule: Standard. However, there will be some afterhours work (production support) during releases.
Years of experience: 7+
Must Have Qualifications: 7+ years of IT experience. 5+ years of experience with Appian development (should have worked on latest versions), 5+ years using latest deployment methodologies (Automated pipelines, Atlassian tools) 2 years of Java development, 3+ years of experience integrating Appian with Active Directory, Ping and other platforms. 3+ years of experience with creating APIs and consuming data exposed on APIs, XML and web services (SOAP/REST). Ability to review, design and understand the standards of Databases (DB2, Sybase, Postgres SQL, and MS SQL). Strong working knowledge on Infrastructure components, network, security models, EKS and Appian cloud. Angular, JavaScript and Ansible experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in Information Technology.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent working experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in design, implementation and production support of Appian BPM applications. Work experience must be with Appian version 24.x or higher.
- Working knowledge of Appian architecture.
- EKS and Appian cloud experience.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customer and resolve production issues.
- Experience in tuning the system for performance improvements and performance related system design.
- Thorough understanding of relational databases, SQL, XML and web services (SOAP/REST).
- Experience applying Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles.
- Knowledge of business process modeling and optimization techniques, including orchestration of modeled process.
- Some exposure to infrastructure, network and enterprise scale environments.
- Practical experience designing and building enterprise and/or distributed systems.
- Experience with systems and software architecture.
