Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering:
- Single-line diagrams
- Control logic for new generators and retrofitting existing ones. This includes selecting and applying protective relays and other equipment.
- Develop protection schemes for generators, including differential, overcurrent, and distance protection.
- Configure protective relays and associated control systems.
- Perform fault analysis and power system studies using simulation tools.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure systems comply with NEC, IEEE, IEC, and other relevant standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of protection settings, test results, and system configurations.
- Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in power system protection, specifically generator protection.
- Proficiency in protection software tools (ETAP, PSCAD etc.).
- Familiarity with protective relays (Siemens, ABB etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
