We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting Azure-based data services, ensuring adherence to database and storage best practices, and delivering robust operational support for cloud infrastructure and data platforms.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage Azure data services including Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Optimize data storage, access, and performance across distributed systems.
Experience of integrating Azure data services with Azure Databricks
Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to ensure optimal data ingestion, transformation, and storage strategies.
Database Best Practices:
Define and enforce standards for database design, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
Implement backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.
Operational Support:
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and data services using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Automate routine tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
Maintain clear documentation of architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 4 years focused on Microsoft Azure.
Strong expertise in Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Data Factory).
Experience with Azure Databricks Platform is preferred.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools (Terraform, Azure CLI).
Solid understanding of database administration, performance tuning, and security.
Advanced proficiency in Terraform, Python, and PowerShell/Bash.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices in cloud environments.
