This role is ideal for a hands-on telecom professional who thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments and has a strong command of Ericsson tools (AMOS, ENM), network activation protocols, and scripting for automation (Python). The ideal candidate will have experience with CBAN/IOP workflows, CQS, and be comfortable working across radio (RAN) and transport layers during new builds, upgrades, and modernizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform integrations and activations of LTE/5G wireless sites using AMOS and ENM tools.
  • Execute configuration scripts, parameter changes, and software loads across network elements.
  • Use Python scripting to automate and streamline configuration and integration tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software/network issues during commissioning.
  • Collaborate with RF engineering, transport, and core teams to ensure site readiness and performance.
  • Monitor and validate integration performance using CQS (Configuration Quality System).
  • Utilize IOP (Integration Operation Platform) and CBAN workflows for documentation, compliance, and site status tracking.
  • Provide field support for audits, testing, and post-integration optimizations.
  • Document all integration activities, maintain logs, and ensure handoff to operations teams.

Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in wireless network integration or field engineering.
  • Proficiency in Ericsson tools: AMOS, ENM.
  • Scripting experience in Python or similar for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with CQS, IOP, and CBAN processes.
  • Strong understanding of LTE and 5G architecture (eNodeB, gNodeB, transport).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering MOPs, RFDS, and scripts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills in live network environments.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the state of Kentucky and work at various site locations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other OEM platforms (e.g., Nokia, Samsung) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fiber and transport provisioning.
  • Working knowledge of network performance KPIs and optimization basics.
  • Telecom certifications (e.g., Ericsson Certified Professional, CCNA, CWNA) are a plus.

Key Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
