DevOps EngineerJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a DevOps Engineer for a contract to hire position in Berkeley Heights, NJ/ Alpharetta, GA and Hagerstown, MD. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with development and other teams to deploy software releases and updates, continuously improving the process.
- Manage source code tools, repositories, workflows, and automate CI/CD processes using the appropriate DevOps toolset.
- Integrate security scans and QA test suites into the CI/CD process for deployed applications.
- Plan, provision, configure, maintain, and update both cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Set up application performance monitoring, alerting dashboards, and automated health checks for applications and services.
- Implement disaster recovery, failover, and resiliency solutions for applications and infrastructure.
- Develop scripts for deployment, configuration, provisioning, and monitoring in addition to using existing DevOps tools.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot technical issues, manage incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Stay informed about industry trends, security, and compliance requirements, and enhance existing tools, procedures, and automation.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork within an agile environment.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar role.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient with source code management, CI/CD, and DevOps tools like GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, and ArgoCD.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
- Certification in a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is mandatory.
- Experience with system administration, Linux/Unix shell scripting, and networking.
- Experience with databases and SQL; knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Understanding of application performance monitoring and alerts.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and provisioning tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with security and compliance requirements and practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of software development and test automation suites; knowledge of programming languages like Java, Go, Python, and scripting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, understanding of Agile methodologies, teamwork ability, organizational, and time management skills.
