Job Description

Seeking an experienced Network Engineer Project Lead to design, implement, and support enterprise-level Cisco/Meraki network infrastructure. This role involves leading projects end-to-end, collaborating with technical teams, and ensuring secure, reliable statewide network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot statewide WAN/LAN/wireless networks.
  • Configure and patch Cisco firewalls (ASA5508-X, ASA5585-X, FirePower4110/2120) and switches (3750, C9500, C9300, Nexus5k/7k).
  • Support Meraki switches, wireless APs, and firewalls (MX450).
  • Develop implementation/test plans for Cisco/Meraki deployments.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting with county IT partners.
  • Document requests, analyze logs, and enhance network performance/security.
  • Lead projects: define scope, drive requirements, build architectures, deliver solutions.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to peers.

Required Skills:

  • 4 6 years with Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches.
  • Cisco CCNA & CCNP certification (4 6 years).
  • Strong experience with Wireshark.
  • Ability to clearly communicate infrastructure design/decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cisco ISE, VPN, Hardware Administration (4 6 years).
  • 5+ years designing/operating LAN/MAN/WAN networks.
  • Microsoft network communications (MCSE), hybrid networking, Azure connectivity/security.
  • Tools: Cisco FMC, ASDM, ISE, Putty, PowerShell, Wireshark, Nmap, SIEM, Cisco Security Manager.
