V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Low Voltage Technician in Louisville, Kentucky.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling or related field
- BICSI Technician certification (preferred but not required)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat 6, fiber optics, coax, etc
- Strong understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC)
- Ability to use cable testers and hand tools proficiently
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a reliable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to support structured cabling and technology infrastructure projects across the Louisville and Lexington markets, with frequent travel to job sites throughout the region and beyond.
- The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
- Support infrastructure deployments including racks, patch panels, wireless access points, and other devices
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure job completion
- Interpret blueprints and cabling diagrams; follow project specifications and standards
- Conduct site assessments and document existing conditions
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel frequently
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset
- Travel to project sites approximately 7080% of the time.
