About the Role
We re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Application Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data-driven decision-making in healthcare and skilled in designing, building, and maintaining Databricks and SQL-based applications.
You'll play a critical role in driving business intelligence and data science migrations, enabling strategic data modeling for actionable reporting and insights across Medicaid and healthcare systems.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in JAD, RAD, and DSD sessions to gather and document technical and business requirements.
- Design and implement end-to-end ETL pipelines and data interfaces using Databricks, SQL, PySpark, and Tableau.
- Maintain and deploy code across development, QA, and production environments using package configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bugs, and user-reported incidents.
- Author documentation including data mapping, ETL specs, and integration schematics.
- Leverage cloud platforms (especially AWS) to design scalable, secure data solutions.
- Assist with unit testing, SIT, E2E testing, and UAT efforts.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal security/data governance policies.
What We re Looking For
- 9+ years of experience in SQL Server/MS-SQL scripting and Databricks development.
- Expertise in Medicaid/Healthcare data: claims, providers, and members.
- Advanced skills in SQL, data modeling, and ETL design.
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Glacier).
- Proficiency in Tableau and using AI-powered analytics tools.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
Nice to Have
- Background in data science, predictive analytics, or data mining.
- Familiarity with designing logical/physical data models.
- Experience with secure cloud data migration and system integration.
- Proven ability to guide and mentor junior developers and debug complex interfaces.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and data governance protocols.
