Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis. Based in East Hartford, Connecticut, this role involves managing and optimizing network systems to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Cisco technologies, firewalls, and network protocols to deliver robust and secure network solutions.

Responsibilities:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers to ensure optimal network performance.

Manage and secure network environments using Palo Alto firewalls.

Implement and monitor Cisco ASA solutions for enhanced network security.

Administer and optimize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations for efficient data routing.

Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Cisco networking systems to support organizational goals.

Proactively identify and address potential network vulnerabilities and performance issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable network solutions.

Document network configurations, processes, and security protocols for future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience working with Cisco routers and networking systems.
In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and their configuration.
Strong expertise with Cisco ASA for advanced network security.
Hands-on experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for routing optimization.
Familiarity with Cisco networking best practices and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
