Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, senior-level Azure Platform Engineer to join our Center of Excellence (CoE) team. This role is a backfill for a lead contractor and will play a critical part in designing, provisioning, and expanding our Azure-based platforms and services. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient in Azure and modern cloud-native technologies but also understands solution architecture and can contribute to strategic platform development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design, provisioning, and deployment of services across Azure, including AKS, Kubernetes, Power Platform, Azure Data Fabric, and CoPilot Studio.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to build out platform capabilities that support enterprise-scale applications and services.
- Apply deep knowledge of Azure services to support networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
- Contribute to the development of reusable patterns, standards, and best practices within the CoE.
- Participate in solutioning efforts for AI and CoPilot-based applications, helping shape the future of intelligent automation within the organization.
- Act as a technical advisor and hands-on engineer, not a ticket resolver-this is a build-and-innovate role, not ITSM-focused.
- Estimate time and cost for platform initiatives and contribute to project planning and execution.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across platform teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or solution architecture roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, including AKS, Kubernetes, DevOps, and automation.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Power Platform, Azure Data Fabric, and CoPilot Studio.
- Familiarity with AI/ML solutioning, especially in the context of Microsoft CoPilot or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security best practices.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision.
