Mid Level Software Developer

Responsibilities

We are Hiring! Peraton is looking for a Mid-Level Software Developer. The qualified candidate will join our highly performing team supporting the FinCEN Program. This is fulltime remote except for 4 hours of onboarding in Vienna, VA.

What you will do:

• Contribute to the migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS cloud environments.
• Engage in the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment for cloud and on-premises solutions.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes using tools like Git, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, ensuring applications comply with established security standards and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to document and manage interface requirements, dependencies, and system integrations for seamless cloud transitions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
• Software engineering experience, specifically with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and J2EE.
• Extensive experience migrating applications to AWS, utilizing services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and related tooling (Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Strong understanding of Linux environments, databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), and application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat).
• Must have ship.
• Must have an active Secret Security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
• Experience in designing and implementing containerized architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
