Job Title: Lead Salesforce Functional Analyst
Location: 100% Remote (Must work Eastern Time hours)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Position Overview:

Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Lead Salesforce Functional Analyst to join their Salesforce Solution Design Team. This is a hands-on functional leadership role, ideal for a candidate with multiple lead-level project experiences-not an architect or manager. You will play a critical role in driving Salesforce solution design, documenting business processes, and leading the delivery of scalable solutions across key Salesforce platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad Salesforce ecosystem including Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, IoT Cloud, and Communities, while also contributing to cutting-edge projects like Mobile Platforms, Patient Portals, and Digital Health Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Lead Subject Matter Expert for Salesforce solutions, driving business requirement gathering, user journey documentation, and functional implementation.

  • Lead initiatives from concept to delivery with minimal supervision, providing strategic direction to the team.

  • Analyze and document business processes using use cases, process modeling, sequence diagrams, and data flow models.

  • Conduct impact assessments and level-of-effort analysis to evaluate new feature impacts.

  • Configure and manage Salesforce platform components including:

    • Custom objects

    • Fields

    • Page layouts

    • Workflows

    • Approval processes

    • Triggers

    • Third-party integrations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Customer Care, Marketing, R&D, Sales, Business Operations, and IT to maintain high-quality business process execution.

  • Provide technical insights to support UI/UX design and wireframe development.

  • Design and generate custom reports and dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs.

  • Assist with development of functional maps, wireframes, user stories, and workflow diagrams.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, preferably with commercial functions such as sales, marketing, or lead generation.

  • 5+ years of IT experience supporting multiple integrated systems with hands-on Salesforce.com exposure.

  • Strong Salesforce functional configuration background.

  • Experience drafting mockups, flowcharts, and user interaction models for technical teams.

  • Excellent communication skills-ability to translate business requirements into scalable, actionable solutions.

  • Proficient in documentation of technical and functional processes.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and how data architecture impacts scalability and reporting.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering.

  • Salesforce Admin Certification highly preferred.

  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals).

  • Agile / SCRUM experience.

  • Familiarity with Lean Business Processes (LBP) or similar methodologies.

  • Exposure to Salesforce components like Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Communities, and IoT Cloud is a major plus.
