Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Director Enterprise Architecture to lead a growing architecture team while remaining hands-on in technical solutioning and architectural delivery. This is a player-coach role, ideal for candidates who combine strong people leadership with deep technical expertise in designing and governing enterprise-scale distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of ~11 solution architects, with plans for continued growth.
  • Architect and deliver scalable, end-to-end enterprise solutions across diverse technologies including cloud and AI.
  • Produce high-quality architectural deliverables: high-level design documents, technical evaluations, and reviews.
  • Govern architecture practices across downstream application teams and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate closely with executives (VP/SVP level) in monthly meetings; deliver clear updates and insights.
  • Coach team members to drive technical excellence, quality control, and delivery.
  • Balance responsibilities: ~60% people leadership / ~40% hands-on solution architecture (not coding-focused).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a hands-on architect in complex, distributed systems.
  • Strong background in enterprise applications and cloud-based technologies; exposure to AI technologies a plus.
  • Excellent people management and team coaching abilities.
  • Skilled in architectural concepts including non-functional requirements, solution design, and technical governance.
  • Exceptional communication skills with executive presence and stakeholder engagement experience.
