Job Title: Line Support Technician
Location: Russell Point, OH | Onsite
Work Type: Contract | 25 weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking a Line Support Technician to join our onsite team in Russell Point, OH. This role is critical to maintaining the stability and performance of Tier I Production Critical Line Applications and equipment. The ideal candidate will follow documented processes to restore normal operations or escalate issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary.

Job Title: Line Support Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a Line Support Technician to join our onsite team in Russell Point, OH. This role is critical to maintaining the stability and performance of Tier I Production Critical Line Applications and equipment. The ideal candidate will follow documented processes to restore normal operations or escalate issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary.
eKey Responsibilities
- Provide plant floor client and end-user desktop application and network support for all Tier I computer systems.
- Collaborate with plant floor users to understand production line processes and customer needs.
- Support technology upgrades and implementations of Tier I computer systems.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from various monitoring systems related to Tier I computer systems.
- Communicate effectively with IT management for updates, direction, and escalation.
- Assist with policy enforcement and execution of established IT processes and procedures.
- Engage with external suppliers to stay informed on evolving technologies and their potential application.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience supporting computer applications and end-user computing devices.
- Familiarity with Windows 7/10, Active Directory, and LAN/Networking.
- Proficiency in MS Office and problem ticketing systems.
- Experience with AIX/UNIX environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Level 1 and Level 2 support calls.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for printers, scan guns, desktop PCs/laptops, and handheld devices.
Preferred Skills:
- General functional knowledge of GALC/ALC systems and related business processes.
- Ability to follow and document processes accurately.
- Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Solid understanding of IT processes and development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
