Job Details

Job Title: DNS Bluecat Engineer

Job Location: Irvine, CA & Irving, TX

Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain DNS solutions using BlueCat Address Manager and BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server.
  • Configure and manage DNS zones, records, policies, and profiles.
  • Monitor and optimize DNS performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DNS-related issues and incidents.
  • Ensure DNS security and compliance with industry standards and best practices, including DNSSEC and DNS Firewall.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BlueCat solutions into the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Document DNS configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in BlueCat DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.
  • Cloud networking (Preferable Google Cloud Platform)
  • IAC
  • Strong knowledge of DNS protocols, standards, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using BlueCat APIs (e.g., Python, PowerShell.
  • Experience in DNS security and compliance measures
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Leadership and project management abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in network engineering or BlueCat solutions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., BlueCat Certified Professional) are a plus.
