The Auditor is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and preparing data to support regulatory filings, rate administration, and policy documentation. This role requires strong financial and analytical skills to ensure accurate filings, conduct peer reviews, and support rate-related decision-making processes.

  • Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Pay Rate: $42/hour


Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Regulatory Analyst

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

    • Ability to organize and prioritize work across multiple assignments

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA

  • Experience:

    • Regulatory filings

    • Accounting, finance, or mathematics background

    • Utility industry experience

    • Research or auditing experience


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain rate-related documents and ensure they are up to date for use by internal departments

  • Review, analyze, and provide oversight of rate filing documents, work papers, and supporting schedules

  • Conduct quantitative analysis of rate schedules to assess customer bill impacts

  • Interpret and document regulatory filing requirements, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional rules

  • Prepare pro forma adjustments, cost-of-service allocations, and develop equitable rates that balance customer impact and company financial goals

  • Perform peer reviews for various regulatory filings (e.g., FRPs, rate cases, fuel adjustments, riders) to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Translate detailed analysis into meaningful summaries and recommendations

  • Adapt to changing priorities and perform additional duties as assigned
