Join a high-impact engineering team delivering next-gen safety systems for the aerospace industry. We re working with a fast-moving aerospace systems manufacturer that urgently needs a Systems Safety Engineer with hands-on experience delivering safety artifacts and performing critical safety assessments aligned with commercial aviation standards.


What You ll Do

  • Lead system safety analyses (PSSA, SSA, FTA, CMA) in accordance with ARP4761 and ARP4754A

  • Generate detailed aerospace safety artifacts not just review them

  • Interface with cross-functional engineering teams (HW, SW, Systems)

  • Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers and offshore contractors

  • Take ownership of safety documentation and technical deliverables

  • Engage with clients, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple time zones


Must-Have Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship or (Required & Verified)

  • Bachelor s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical, or related Engineering

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace systems safety

  • Direct experience applying ARP4761 and ARP4754 in a development environment

  • Familiarity with safety analysis methods: FMECA, FTA, CMA, FHA

  • Proficiency with tools like Cafta, Windchill, Relyence, or similar


Preferred Experience

  • 7 10+ years in system safety engineering

  • Prior experience leading distributed or offshore safety teams

  • Exposure to MIL-STD-882E (as a complement, not a substitute)

  • Fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft development experience

  • Medical/Nuclear/Automotive safety experience only considered if ARP4761/4754 were used
