Description:
Our client has an immediate need for an Android Developer, who is responsible for the development and support of applications, contributing to new feature implementation, release activities, and maintaining high-quality documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is a plus
- 4-6 years of experience
- Proficiency and comfort with Kotlin and Java
- Comfortable working directly with Gradle commands and build.gradle.kts files
- Familiar with "legacy" Android Views Framework and XML
- Understanding of general APK and AAR build process, including Source Sets across Build Variants
- Prior experience in Banking/Finance is a plus
- Mastery of SOLID development techniques, Unidirectional Data Flow paradigms, and Reactive programming is a plus
- Awareness of Dependency Injection and management is a plus
- Experience with RxJava 3+ and/or Kotlin Coroutines is a plus
- Experience using (and maintaining) standard Android testing suites (JUnit4, Espresso, etc) is a plus
- Experience with using/learning TalkBack and Switch Access for Accessibility efforts is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Contribute as a UI Developer on the project, developing robust and scalable features using SwiftUI and UIKit
- Perform release-related tasks, including documenting release notes, assessing risks, and ensuring security compliance
- Maintain high-quality development documentation, adhering to project and organizational standards
- Utilize best practices in state management, dependency injection, and modular architecture to support Micro UIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform unit, UI, and integration testing using tools like XCTest and Nimble
- Ensure accessibility standards (iOS A11, VoiceOver) are implemented and maintained
- Communicate with backend services and APIs using modern concurrency tools (Combine/Async/Await)
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
