Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Scrum Master for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Healthcare Services clients for a Remote position.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master to provide effective leadership, collaboration, and facilitation for our Data and Analytics projects. This role will involve supporting the agile development process while managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications. The Scrum Master will oversee 1-4 Data and Analytics projects, handling all aspects from project initiation to completion. Responsibilities include creating project plans, assigning resources, tracking progress, reviewing financials, and holding the team accountable for deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong commitment to exceptional results, and a desire for continuous improvement. They will also have the ability to foster a collaborative culture within our team.
Candidates should be highly experienced with the solution development life cycle, application development, and agile methodologies, operating effectively in a bi-modal manner (Waterfall and Agile). A recognizable Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe) is required.

- Develop, refine, validate, and manage project plans and sprints to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of major technology initiatives across the enterprise, including management of hours and dollars.
- Provide an overall financial project view to manage the development of budgets, controls, and measurements to monitor project progress.
- Participate in identifying project costs, resource allocation, project schedule changes, and issue escalation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong group presentation skills.
- Build excellent interpersonal relationships, frequently interacting with IT personnel, business personnel, vendors, consultants, and other contractors at various levels, including executives.
- Provide timely and concise communications to business and technical leadership regarding project status and pending issues; analyze processes and make recommendations for optimizing resources and product delivery.
- Build consensus among multiple leads regarding project scope, task execution, staffing, and issue resolution.
- Direct and coach Agile processes and ceremonies (sprints, stand-ups, PI planning, retrospectives). Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps boards and facilitation/utilization boards during stand-ups, along with familiarity with Agile and project metrics.
- Utilize project management methods and coordinate internal and external resources required to complete assigned projects.
- Identify and manage project dependencies (internal and external), risks, and proactively manage issues. Familiarity with RAID and continuous action item follow-up is essential.
- Demonstrate good analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Be willing to travel infrequently (once or twice a year for site meetings).
- Have experience with PI Planning events.
- Have experience running Scrum and Kanban within Azure DevOps Boards (coordinating sprints, Kanban board, loading backlog, dashboards, reporting).
- Manage multiple Scrum and Kanban teams simultaneously with Azure DevOps Boards.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master with at least several Waterfall projects.
- 5+ years of experience managing Information Technology (IT) projects.
- Experience with application development as a Scrum Master.
- Experience with software package implementation/roll-out.
- Experience using Azure DevOps Boards in a project (typically in a Kanban or Scrum environment).
- Experience with driving and facilitating PI Planning events utilizing Mural Boards.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams).
- Experience with Microsoft Project (creating, maintaining/updating project plans).
- Strong experience with Excel functions and charts (pivots, counts, lookups, formatting).
- Experience with financial tracking: actuals and ETCs against project baseline.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate's resume must include examples of their role and project purpose (e.g., managed application development for a customer billing system).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience running Scrum and Kanban with Azure DevOps Boards (coordinating sprints, Kanban board, loading backlog, dashboards, reporting).
- Project management experience in the field of Data and Analytics, including working with platform environments and architecture strategy.
- Experience with the CA PPM Clarity application for project management.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Experience with Confluence (creating/uploading documentation).
- Experience with Microsoft Teams for project document management.
- Familiarity with Agile approaches such as User-Centered Design, Lean Six Sigma, and DevOps.
- Knowledge of Data and Analytics, Master Data Management, and the ability to manage project financials, Clarity (resources, financial reporting), Jira, and Azure DevOps Boards - Agile and project metrics.
