Job Title: ServiceNow Developer Asset Management & CSDM Assessment
Location: Austin, TX Onsite (4-5 days a week)

Project Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to support a strategic assessment and modernization initiative focused on improving end-to-end asset management for network and infrastructure assets. The current ServiceNow environment is heavily customized, and the goal of this project is to realign the platform with Out-of-the-Box (OOB) capabilities and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework.

The developer will work closely with the architect, infrastructure, and operations teams to analyze, design, and prototype scalable solutions that align with CSDM standards, enhance CMDB structure, and improve asset lifecycle workflows and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the technical assessment and re-architecture of the current ServiceNow platform.
* Configure and develop within ServiceNow Asset Management Software Modules, CMDB, and related ITSM components.
* Help implement and align data structures to conform with ServiceNow s CSDM framework.
* Assist in identifying and replacing custom functionality with OOB features where applicable.
* Build and test integrations between ServiceNow and systems such as:
* * PeopleSoft
* Azure Cloud
* Discovery Tools (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, JAMF)
* Procurement Systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba)
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional ServiceNow solutions.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation for workflows, integrations, and system changes.

Required Qualifications:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with strong focus on CMDB, Asset Management, and ITSM modules.
* Demonstrated experience working with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
* Proficient in scripting (JavaScript, Glide), Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Studio.
* Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP APIs) with enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft and Azure.
* Strong understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, configuration items (CIs), and infrastructure relationships.
* Familiarity with third-party procurement integrations like Coupa or SAP Ariba.
* Ability to analyze and improve data quality, structure, and service modeling in the CMDB

Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of SAM/HAM modules in ServiceNow.
* Familiarity with ITIL and best practices in asset and service management.
* Experience working in environments with a high degree of ServiceNow customization.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Deliverables Will Include:
* Enhancing platform performance by reducing technical debt
* Migrating legacy data and configurations into a cleaner CSDM-aligned structure
* Collaborating on a technical roadmap to modernize ServiceNow usage across the enterprise
* Supporting documentation and knowledge transfer throughout the assessment phase
