IDR is seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist to join one of our top clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data governance and management within complex organizations, particularly in the healthcare industry. The company operates in the data management and analytics sector, focusing on enterprise-level data strategy and compliance.
Position Overview for the Senior Data Governance Specialist:
  • Provide senior-level support to the Data Governance Lead in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide data governance strategies and operating models.
  • Develop and enforce enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data governance best practices into delivery workflows.
  • Support defining and managing data stewardship frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, and issue triage workflows.
  • Assist in developing and executing data governance audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, CMS, and TMSIS.
Requirements for the Senior Data Governance Specialist:
  • 7-10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
  • Proven experience of implementing enterprise data governance frameworks in complex organizations, preferably in healthcare
  • Deep understanding of data management principles and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, IBM)
