The Cardiovascular Portfolio Group brings all of our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe. Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.

Are you a skilled software engineer with a passion for innovation in the medical device industry? We're seeking a talented Senior Level Software Engineer to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Software division. As a key member of our agile development team, you will play a crucial role in driving software delivery and advancing our cutting-edge medical technologies. The right person will be an application developer with strong technical skills in AWS technologies, .NET and Microservice development.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-integrity software tailored for medical devices, ensuring robust and reliable performance.

  • Contribute to defining technical product requirements and high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility and seamless integration with existing systems and platforms.

  • Develop and test applications within a Global Cloud Infrastructure as a Service environment, focusing on distributed computing and high-performance computing.

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of developers, guiding projects to successful completion within defined scopes and schedules.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure cohesive and effective project execution.

  • Engage actively in agile practices, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint demos, and retrospectives.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

Cloud and Infrastructure Technologies:

  • Proficiency in AWS technologies, including S3

  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration

  • Familiarity with microservice architecture

.NET and Application Development:

  • Expertise in .NET 8 and greater

  • Experience with EF6/EF Core for data access

  • Proficiency in C# and Java programming

  • Experience with REST API and Open API for building and consuming services

Database Management:

  • Experience with relational databases

  • Knowledge of NoSQL datastores such as HBase or DynamoDB

Testing and Continuous Integration:

  • Familiarity with .NET testing frameworks

  • Experience with AZDo pipelines for CI/CD

Distributed Systems:

  • Experience with distributed applications

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SQL

  • Familiarity with SpecFlow and/or MS Test

  • Proficiency in Visual Studio

  • Experience with version control systems like Git, BitBucket, and Azure DevOps

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$116,000.00 - $174,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
