Job Details

Primary Responsibilities

Monitor production systems in multiple data centers.

Manage critical incident, including escalation, debugging, fix and root cause analysis.

Help R&D debug production issues.

End-to-end K8s application modernization and delivery via on K8S G6R

Decentralized "enforced state" GitOps approach.

Automated certificate management, DNS, and MTLS

Unified, auto scaling, easier to adopt and faster e2e develop to deploy framework and strategy.

Reduced go to market timelines (build to prod )

Managed DR with reduced costs

Cloud agnostic and support across 4+1 & Sovereign Cloud deployments

SGS, ISBN SecOps, and SAP HASI approved processes

Managed multi-stage backups (storage, Velero, DB-native)

Process automation and implementation.

Manage public cloud environments including Terraform, Google Cloud Platform, and/or AWS.

CI/CD and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Vault.

Kubernetes containerization.

Operate system internals, file system structures and machine architectures in a Linux operating environment; and

Apache, DNS, Send mail, SSH, TCP/IP, and NFS.

Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.

Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.

Work with product team to define SLA, SLO, monitoring/telemetry pattern and stability across from customer standpoint.

Help product team gain momentum and velocity for hassle free development across BTP, Hyperscaler, K8S.

Build, Manage, Scale and Right size/TCO initiatives across SAP Hyperscaler(4+1) strategy towards cloud spend management.

Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through to deployment, operation, and refinement.

Guide and coach, the development team on Agile principles and Scrum practices

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and

retrospectives

Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog

Ensure the team understands and adheres to the Scrum framework and its roles, artifacts,

and ceremonies

Identify and remove any obstacles or impediments that may hinder the team's progress

Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment

Track and report on team progress, including sprint burndown charts and velocity utilizing

SAP Jira

Promote continuous improvement and help the team identify and implement process

improvements

Act as a servant leader, supporting the team and promoting a culture of trust and

transparency

Liaison and implement guidance/guardrails from COO Outcome & Enablement team

Qualifications

Development experience in Bash/Python/Go/Groovy, Perl and Shell scripting.

Process automation and implementation.

Experience with public cloud environments and toolsets including Terraform, Google Cloud Platform, and/or AWS.

CI/CD and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Vault.

Kubernetes containerization experience.

Experience with operating system internals, file system structures and machine architectures in a Linux operating environment; and Apache, DNS, Send mail, SSH, TCP/IP, and NFS.

5-7 years of experience working in a public cloud, automation, and Unix internals

> 4 year devops/SRE experience.

Familiar with SRE operation and on-call procedure.

Familiar with log analysis, such as Splunk or ELK.

Scrum master certification preferred. BA/BS degree in MIS/CS or equivalent experience

Experienced working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with well-developed practices and procedures.
