What impact you'll make

As a member of the Hot Gas Path Heat Transfer Team, you will be an active contributor to the overall business strategy and manage complex technical issues within the field of blade heat transfer and computational fluid dynamics for industrial gas turbines. You will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives in the field of Hot Gas Path Blade Heat Transfer. You will integrate and develop blade heat transfer processes, in tandem with rotor heat transfer, that meet business needs across the organization.

What you'll do

• Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long-range blade heat transfer and cooling design methods and processes and gas turbine design initiatives.
• Provide technical consultation on gas turbine design issues throughout the business including supplier and field support.
• Assist team with technical rigor to develop safe, high-quality products while being actively engaged during design process.
• Lead and provide the key technical direction to large projects with critical business impact.
• Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state-of-the-art blade heat transfer in order to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs.
• Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, or field issues.
• Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers using reports, records, and letters.
• Use knowledge and expertise to market winning proposals in anticipation of business product needs.
• Provide technical guidance, direction and training to new and experienced heat transfer engineers, specialists, technicians and co-ops.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
• This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)). GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

The base pay range for this position is 131,700 - 219,300.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% bonus.
