Overview:
Our client is modernizing their Retirement Planning Services (RPS) technology platform and seeking Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to support key product areas including Enrollment/Onboarding, Financial Wellness, and Distributions. These roles are net-new additions to the team and are critical in bridging the gap between Product Owners and Technology as the organization scales to meet client commitments and modernizes its tech stack.

BSAs will be embedded with domain-specific Tech Leads and product teams to dig deep into business logic, create detailed documentation, and own the end-to-end understanding of their assigned product areas. This is a unique opportunity to influence the structure and process of a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for a specific domain within Retirement Planning Services.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Tech Leads to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable documentation.
  • Own the creation of user stories, business requirements, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
  • Analyze user journeys to inform business logic and support UI/UX needs.
  • Support onboarding of new clients by helping deliver customized landing pages and ensure successful integration into the RPS system (e.g., "Kforce Retirement Plan Services").
  • Participate in the evolution of day-to-day processes as the team matures and responsibilities evolve.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Business Systems Analyst or Product-Focused Business Analyst within financial services, retirement planning, or a related field.
  • Strong experience writing business requirements, user stories, and supporting scenario-based testing.
  • Ability to dig into and document complex business logic and communicate it effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Skilled in facilitating collaboration between Product and Technology teams.
  • Not afraid to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and take ownership of domain knowledge.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and with cross-functional teams.

Technical Environment:

  • Web-based platform built with Angular (minimal mobile) (Not Required)
  • Integration with APIs / Microservices
  • Familiarity with UI/UX processes and customer journeys preferred

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in retirement services, employee benefits, or financial wellness platforms
