Title: Senior Disaster Recovery (DR) Coordinator
Location: Hybrid 2 days in Springfield 3 days remote

Duration: 1 year

Job Description:
  • We are seeking a Senior Disaster Recovery (DR) Coordinator with expertise in both technical and non-technical aspects of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC).
  • This role will focus on assessing, documenting, and enhancing current DR/BC strategies across IT and business units.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience conducting gap analyses, defining future-state recovery plans, and ensuring organizational resilience.
  • This is a senior-level, onsite position for one year with the option to renew.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to assess, document, and improve Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) plans.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify critical business functions, dependencies, and risks.
  • Perform gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to existing DR/BC frameworks.
  • Develop and document current-state and future-state recovery strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate DR/BC testing and exercises, evaluate results, and refine recovery procedures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Maintain and update DR/BC documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) planning and coordination.
  • Strong background in gap analysis, process improvement, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and network security.
  • Experience with disaster recovery tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), CISSP, CISA, or ITIL.
  • Experience in regulated environments with compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, FFIEC).
  • Familiarity with Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and cloud-based DR solutions.
