We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Piping Materials Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. The Piping Materials Engineer will be responsible for the selection, specification, and application of piping materials for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and project requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develop and review material specifications for piping systems, including pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, and bolting
- Evaluate and select appropriate piping materials based on project requirements, industry codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, API), and internal standards
- Develop and maintain company piping material standards, specifications, and guidelines
- Selection and engineering of piping specialty items (SP-Items)
- Preparation of RFQs for purchase of piping and piping components and review vendor quotations for compliance
- Review and approve vendor material submittals, including material test reports (MTRs), welding procedures, and non-destructive examination (NDE) reports
- Provide technical support to project teams, including piping designers, stress engineers, procurement, and construction personnel, on material-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Piping Materials Engineer in the Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing or Power Generation industry
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Thorough knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, API standards, ASTM specifications, and other relevant codes
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, corrosion mechanisms, welding processes, and non-destructive testing methods
- Experience with material selection for various service conditions
- Familiarity with material traceability requirements and quality control procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences
