Hardware Engineer – Power Supply (eInfochips Inc)

        What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the hardware electronics design and development process for aerospace projects.

  • Design and implement high-reliability electronic systems, including PCBs, embedded systems, and power electronics.

  • Conduct component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout to meet aerospace standards and requirements.

  • Coordinate with layout engineers to oversee PCB layout activities.

  • Perform detailed analysis, simulation, thermal management and testing of electronic circuits and systems.

  • Capture and analyze requirements for power supply design projects.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and testing phases.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including DO-254 and DO-178C.

  • Utilize knowledge of DO-160/ MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461 Qualification tests to ensure hardware compliance with aerospace testing standards.

  • Proficiency in tools and software for PCB design (e.g., DxDesigner, Mentor Graphics, CR5000).

  • Conduct lab testing, including designing test equipment and writing/executing test procedures/scripts for engineering.

  • Check out/DVT and production sublevel testing.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Power supply design, including magnetics design, EMI filter design.

  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC and Military power requirements such as MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461.

  • Thermal management of power components and various topologies, both isolated and non-isolated with 10 KW +.

  • Work experience of 8+ years is required for this role.

Work Arrangement Fully On-Site: Must be able to travel to an Arrow Client office location as requested by Arrow Client leadership.

Location: Complete On-Site at Cedar Rapids, IA.
