Position Overview
seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Software Developer to perform advanced computer programming work. The selected candidate will be responsible for research, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex web-based applications supporting TDA business operations.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of overall IT experience, strong expertise in .NET/C#, MVC, Blazor, SQL Server, prior State Government experience, and the ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Perform highly advanced (senior-level) software development, including research, design, and implementation of web-based applications
Design, develop, and enhance front-end and back-end applications using HTML, HTML5, ASP.NET (Blazor), and C#
Write, test, debug, document, and maintain complex client/server and web-based applications using .NET, MVC, and SQL Server
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for database performance tuning and legacy data migration
Support existing TDA application software through problem diagnosis, defect resolution, and system enhancements
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to validate requirements and deliver technical solutions
Identify risks, recommend improvements, and ensure best practices for application development
Work within an Agile/Scrum development environment using DevOps tools
Perform other duties as assigned by project leadership
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of overall professional IT experience
7+ years of senior-level software development and web programming
7+ years of experience developing APIs, web services, and web applications using C#, .NET Framework, MVC, and SQL Server
5+ years of experience with database performance tuning and legacy data migration
5+ years of experience using Azure DevOps and AWS DevOps
5+ years working in an Agile-based development environment
Prior State Government experience (Required)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Washington D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) – Orchard application
Prior experience supporting large-scale government enterprise systems
Texas-based candidate preferred
