Lead Network Engineer (Hybrid)

Dire Hire / Fulltime

  • Work Location: near Appleton, WI OR near Harrisburg, PA OR near Rochester, MN (open to candidates located near any of these locations)
  • Hybrid -3-5 days /week in the office
  • Project based , No tickets / No Maintenance Work
  • Travel : 30% within US and International Travel
  • US passport required
  • Design solutions and then travel to site to implement it. Designing new sites/ offices, redesigning old sites, Cisco router , switches , SD WAN , wireless the main focus. Palo Alto exp is a plus.
  • Doesn t support Visa transfer or sponsorship

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an escalation point for advanced operational support and troubleshooting for the network environment using appropriate network management tools, scripting, or equivalent.
  • Extensive understanding of networking fundamentals - architecture, models, protocols, IP addressing, basic router/switch configurations, network security, and applied experience
  • Conducting triage and resolution of network issues and outages.
  • Leading project workstreams across end-to-end network and infrastructure projects
  • Communicating and coordinating with stakeholders for network-related activities.
  • Learning and adopting new technologies like SD-WAN, virtualization, automation tools, wireless.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze network traffic usage.
  • Advanced knowledge in 2-3 areas of end-to-end network landscape (route/switch, wireless, cloud, LAN/WAN, cellular, perimeter, security, and others)
  • Cross functional team communicating and coordinating efforts for database, applications, and infrastructure activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of the ITIL process, ticket resolution, and stakeholder response
  • Design, implement, and operate complex solutions.
  • Guide junior engineers and translate business needs into technical designs.
  • Actively supporting the advancement of the strategic roadmap
  • Cross team collaboration with business and information technology stakeholders, driving solutions design and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, customer service, problem solving, cross team collaboration, risk analysis, analytical, operating systems, hardware, infrastructure design, scripting
  • Strong communication, time management, problem solving, teamwork, leadership, mentoring, project management, business acumen, requirements gathering, planning.
