Job Details

This one is going to need to be an A+, seasoned infrastructure EA. This person would be working hand in hand with leadership. Someone who can run all the technical aspects of the data center refresh, network modernization, and direct people.

The State is investing significantly in digital transformational technologies that require the highest skilled architects and engineers. The State seeks a variety of positions to establish industry best in class architecture practices, lead existing teams, and/or create and implement appropriate solutions or platforms.

The scope of this role will include providing architecture expertise and creation of; frameworks, patterns, automation, and appropriate solutions. Scope will also include assessing new technologies and providing recommendations for planning and implementation of those technologies. This position will collaborate with various State personnel from ITSD and a number of different State agencies, as required and directed by the State.


The scope of duties related to this PAQ are noted below:
Enterprise Architect

  • Assist with Enterprise Architecture standards, standing up ARB, Architecture design templates, and related EA activities, using a strong knowledge and experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate. Proficiency in various technology domains like cloud computing, data management, cybersecurity, networking, and application development is crucial.
  • Create strategic plans, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives that align IT strategy with the overall business strategy.
  • Assist in identifying cost optimization opportunities, assessing the return on investment of proposed architectural changes, articulating business value with strategic IT investments.
  • Assist in the creation and management of architecture documentation for State of Missouri networks, business resumption, application dependencies, cloud services, and related technical requirements.
  • Assist in communication and collaboration with different departments, IT teams, executives, and external vendors. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills are essential to gain buy-in and support for architectural decisions.
  • This position will consult and assist as needed.

      • Experience with enterprise architecture standards, standing up ARB, architecture design templates and related EA activities.
      • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman or Archimate
      • Experience in various technology domains like cloud computing, data management, cybersecurity, networking and application development
      • Experience creating strategic plans, roadmaps and transformation initiatives that align IT strategy with overall business strategy
      • Experience identifying cost optimization opportunities, assessing the return on investment of proposed architectural changes and articulating value with strategic IT investments
      • Experience in the creation and management of architecture documentation for networks, business resumption, application dependencies, cloud services and related technical requirements
      • Experience in communication and collaboration with different departments, IT teams, executives and external vendors
      • Experience with presentations and negotiations to gain buy-in and support for architectural decisions
      • Depending upon the agency preference, either State owned Microsoft ADO or JIRA shall be used to record, track and resolve issues, bugs and defects.
