Role: Content Strategist Social Media & Innovation
Location: Remote (East Coast Preferred)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Rate : $30 - $40/Hr. W2
What You ll Do
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a social media Swiss Army knife someone who thrives on staying ahead of trends, building awareness, and driving engagement across platforms.
You ll manage our social presence end to end, from planning and scheduling to reporting and experimentation.
You will:
Own the Outshift social media strategy and execution, managing day-to-day publishing and engagement across all key platforms
Develop and maintain the social calendar, coordinating post timing, format testing, and performance optimization
Write smart, concise copy for social posts in our distinctive tone of voice (copywriting is just as important as social instincts)
Lead channel experimentation and trend adoption, bringing fresh, creative formats to help grow reach and impact
Stay on top of AI, quantum, and emerging tech trends to inspire timely, relevant social content
Monitor competitors and industry leaders for social innovation and benchmarking
Lead analytics reporting, distilling insights across channels and offering data-informed recommendations
Partner with internal social ambassadors and support external influencer collaboration efforts to amplify reach
Collaborate closely with product marketing and brand leads to align messaging, tone, and campaign cadence
Help maintain and evolve Outshift s social playbook, tools, and best practices
Who You Are
A true social media pro strategic, scrappy, and always ready to jump into new formats, channels, and ideas
Deeply fluent in the latest social platforms (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.) and comfortable testing and iterating
A strong copywriter, especially in short-form content confident in turning complex ideas into engaging posts
Analytical and insight-driven: you love metrics, dashboards, and optimization
Comfortable managing multiple streams of content, requests, and priorities at once
Naturally collaborative and self-directed you love owning a lane, but also working cross-functionally
Bachelor s degree required (communications, marketing, or related field preferred)
Bonus: Experience working in or around AI, SaaS, or emerging technologies
