Job Description: As an Expert Tech Lead, you’ll lead the charge in designing and delivering advanced data solutions on PG&E’s Palantir Foundry platform, while also gaining exposure to Snowflake and Informatica technologies. This position combines hands-on development with high-level technical leadership to shape PG&E’s data products and infrastructure.
You will lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of complex, high-impact data use cases and mentor engineers to ensure excellence in execution, quality, and innovation. In this role, you’ll collaborate with IT, product owners, and business units to transform ideas into impactful technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design and implementation of data products using Palantir Foundry
- Cross-train and support data solutions using Snowflake and Informatica
- Define application architecture and ensure adherence to best practices in performance, security, and data governance
- Mentor development teams and uphold standards in code quality, documentation, and maintainability
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, and Business Stakeholders
- Drive agile development methodologies and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture
- Advocate for innovative approaches in event-driven and batch data processing
- Stay current on emerging Palantir Foundry features and industry best practices
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable, secure data implementations
Required Skills:
- 3+ years as a Technical Lead with hands-on experience in data product development
- Expertise in data engineering including complex SQL, Spark, and PySpark
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Proven experience in enterprise-level solution architecture and system design
- Experience leading full-cycle application development and deployment projects
- Familiarity with integration platforms, including ERP systems like SAP and cloud technologies such as AWS
- Working knowledge of Palantir Foundry (minimum 1 year of hands-on experience)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to mentor and guide teams
- Ability to conduct technical feasibility assessments and drive solutions to production
- Understanding of data modeling, security, and governance best practices
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- Additional certifications or coursework in cloud architecture, data management, or software development a plus
