Senior Power BI Developer

Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer Location: Remote Duration : 6 Months with Extension

Tror is actively looking for a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with a minimum of 10+ years of experience to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence concepts, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
Experience in architecting and implementing end-to-end BI solutions on Azure, including data integration, modeling, and reporting/visualization tools.
Proficiency in BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Thought spot, or other leading tools available on the Azure platform. Solid understanding of database management systems, data integration techniques, and data governance principles, with a focus on Azure services.
Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms and technologies, particularly Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Analysis Services. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions within the Azure environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding teams to deliver successful BI solutions leveraging Azure technologies.
This person will be working with a lot of data coming in from multiple data bases. They will need to pull all the data and present it using Power BI. 60% of the time they will be in SQL heavily writing queries.

Must be able to write SQl Queries.
Experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau-driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
Ability to effectively function in a cross team's environment.
Experience with Snowflake design and development-Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems. Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues-Writing SQL queries against Snowflake to do Extract, Load, and Transform data -In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept, and modeling structure principles Experience in Data warehousing - OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modeling. Develops and schedules Extract Transform Load (ETL) solutions that recognizes dependencies, pre-processing tasks, post[1]processing tasks for data administration, using SSMS, SSIS.Understands pertinent data models and business processes to fulfill user requests for maintenance, support, and enhancements. Develops and maintains complex data storage structures needed to support data warehouse functions to ensure data is maintained in consistent formats. Builds, updates, and monitors the data warehouse and business systems performances maintaining the integrity. In-depth development knowledge of OLAP cubes, DataMart and perspectives using SSAS and have an experience in all the stages of a BI development environment.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in computer science, math, or related science field required.
