Job Description:

Quality Assurance Technician

Job Overview:

The quality department is instrumental in ensuring that our food products consistently meet and exceed quality standards, aligning with our ethos of being made by chefs for chefs. You will report directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Production Supervisor.

Roles & Responsibilities:

? Implement, manage, and enforce quality control measures and systems to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.

? Particularly Foodready Software

? Collaborate with the production team to integrate quality control practices into daily operations.

? Regularly review quality metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Compliance and Standards:

? Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations.

? Stay updated on industry standards and integrate new quality protocols as necessary.

? Liaise with regulatory bodies and prepare for quality audits.

? Train staff/new hires on GMP & other food safety initiatives

Team Collaboration & Leadership:

? Work closely with the Production Supervisor and other department heads to align quality objectives.

? Develop a Quality Tech internally or externally

Data Analysis and Reporting:

? Analyze quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the effectiveness of quality interventions.

? Provide regular reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.

Training and Development:

? Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the quality skills of the team.

? Mentor and coach staff in quality assurance best practices.

Health and Safety:

? Promote a strong safety culture within the quality and production departments.

? Ensure quality control activities comply with health and safety guidelines.

Expectations:

? Shift Expectations: Wednesday-Sunday

? M/T/W 8:00am-4:30pm

? Sat/Sun 5:00am-4:00pm

? Some flexibility may be offered if needed

? OT rate of 1.5 times your normal rate is paid for hours over 40/week

? Shift flexibility to cover people on PTO may be needed and is offered to you as well
