As a Quality Assurance Analyst I, Clinical, you'll serve as both a tester and Subject Matter Expert, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and usability.

What You'll Do
  • Acts as a SME during assigned software testing including clinical quality management functionality of the product
  • Uses technical savvy as a Clinician and understanding of Clinical workflow to contribute to testing innovation level software.
  • Practices DSS process management of Agile/Scrum and related tools (Jira, qTest and Confluence)
  • Ensures all aspects of software is working properly prior to review, acceptance and release of deliverables
  • Collaborates with internal resources to establish and improve resource knowledge base (Confluence and SharePoint).
  • Acts as a SME to existing and new staff in the QA Department.

Other Duties:
  • Organizes time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities
  • Travel in support of assigned products as required by Management or the needs of the assigned products


SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training

Qualifications

What You Bring
  • Active healthcare background as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant
  • Experience in an acute care setting using commercial hospital software
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and coding
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of clinical software applications that support nursing workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand and follow technical processes within established guidelines
  • General computer proficiency and adaptability to new systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Desired:
  • Background in Clinical Acute Care with hands-on experience in EHR software testing
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, accurate work with minimal rework
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A strong team player who also thrives as an individual contributor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 plus years clinical experience in a hospital setting

Desired:
  • Informatics training
  • 2 plus years in an acute care hospital setting


Certification(s), Licenses:
  • (One or more)
    • Registered Nurse; or,
    • Nurse Practitioner; or,
    • Physician Assistant

Desired:
  • Any Quality Assurance centered certifications
