Tableau Architect (Lead BI Architect)

Role Overview

Seeking a Tableau Architect / Lead BI Architect with strong expertise in Tableau, Business Objects (BO), Crystal Reports, AWS/Redshift, and enterprise BI architecture. This role will lead BI solution design, create scalable data models, architect data warehouses, and guide BI development teams. The architect will ensure seamless data integration, highly available BI platforms, and alignment between BI strategy and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

BI Architecture & Solution Design

• Architect and design data models, data warehouses, and ETL processes to support enterprise reporting and analytics

• Analyze legacy BO and Crystal Reports and redesign/modernize reporting in Tableau

• Develop new Tableau dashboards and datasets leveraging Redshift/AWS

• Ensure BI architecture is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance

Technical Leadership

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for BI initiatives

• Guide developers and offshore/nearshore BI teams

• Review solutions for performance, data quality, and architectural alignment

Strategic BI Planning

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define BI strategy

• Translate business requirements into technical BI specifications

• Drive BI roadmap initiatives aligned with organizational goals

Data Integration & Governance

• Lead integration of BI systems with enterprise applications and data platforms

• Ensure high data quality, proper metadata management, and clear data lineage

• Oversee data accessibility, governance, and security best practices

System Oversight & Support

• Manage BI system performance, data pipelines, and Redshift/AWS-based reporting

• Troubleshoot complex BI issues and optimize reports, queries, and models

• Ensure end-to-end BI lifecycle management from architecture to deployment

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background as a Lead BI Architect

• Expertise in:

  • Tableau (Architecture, Development, Optimization)

  • Business Objects (BO)

  • Crystal Reports

  • AWS / Redshift

  • ETL / Data Warehousing

• Experience architecting enterprise BI platforms and data warehouses

• Strong understanding of BI integration across enterprise systems

• Ability to mentor BI developers and coordinate offshore teams

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

• Teradata (TD) knowledge

• Experience modernizing legacy reporting ecosystems

• Strong understanding of data security, data governance, and metadata management
