Immediate need for a talented Java Developer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Richmond, VA(Remote). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in team ceremonies with engineering team daily
  • Work with engineering lead and technical lead on a team to design, develop and test Java Spring Boot application/Micro Services and their enhancements.
  • Engage with integration partners and stakeholder teams to gather requirements and share progress
  • Support and maintain existing applications to run the business and stay compliant

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Key skills; Java Developer Java, Microservices, SpringBoot, AWS, Python, Production Support
  • Bachelor s Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
  • 4+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Micro services.
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, or another cloud service
  • 2+ years of experience in at least one RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
  • 1+ years of experience in Python, JavaScript
  • 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
